The Heart Issue

My son Sal recently had a medical issue that revealed other information from a hospital stay of 6 years ago. At that time he was 21 years almost 22 still living at home with me. He didn't want me to worry so he kept much from me about his hospital stay but I knew it was a serious matter. He was inpatient for four days and then went home to rest for two weeks before he returned back to work. My son had been diagnosed with a heart condition Cardiomegaly, his father's side of the family are major candidates of this heart condition that can lead to heart disease. In his case he had an infection surrounding his heart, his symptoms were all of a heart attack when He arrived at the ER. He recently told me something that made me thank God with many tears, he said while he was there his Nurse was briefing the oncoming shift Nurse about his condition, without them being aware that he wasn't asleep the oncoming Nurse stated, "with all the symptoms and his lab results this yo...

Church History

I know it's been a while...really a long while 😯 busy reading lots of Church history and some world history and it seems like it's all coming together. Trying not to get overwhelmed, it's so interesting. I scratch my head and wonder how I'm going to make it all come together in my mind. I'm talking about Church history from the apostles death to Azusa days, most people when they hear the beginning of Church history they automatically go to Azusa street but if we dig further back it's even more interesting. There's so much to post, I shall return and post pieces and bits of what I discovered... Here’s an interesting piece I found the Christians(meaning All believers at that time)  of the first century there symbol to identify was an anchor, not the cross because the cross was considered a symbol of shame. Which is why Jesus was hung on it, to shame Him. The anchor was also on Jewish coinage but eventually phased out.

Christmas Poem

Music

Music can be relaxing, soothing, make you cry, happy and a great ministry to many. Wanted to share my music with you all out there, I have a Spotify account if you search for my account you can listen with hardly no commercials/interruptions, enjoy great Apostolic music. My favorite is Sister Allard, if I could sing I'd like to sing like her. Had the privilige to meet her at our Jr. Camp and later at our church the following weekend. My account name is all lowercase, no spaces...laughterinsideme . Hope you enjoy it and holler if you like it.😎

Fear...in the book of Acts

Recently in the book of Acts the word fear keeps standing out to me...when the Disciples preached the gospel to people a fear would come over the people,  many repented and converted. Several mornings I have gone to the sanctuary and weeping I tell God there is no fear in the land towards You. Then I thought the fear that is out there is evil fear from abuse, random shootings in various places, crime and other things but yet this fear seems to be prevalent in the land. Another evil twist is the slogan very common out there "no fear" which in my opinion promotes further no fear... just my thoughts....

Happy Mommas Day!

Thank God he chose my role as a Mother...the most caring humans on the earth. Nothing like a Mommas love! Despite all the weakness we have as women God chose us to love and nurture babies. Lately reading and studying how we (as woman) inoculate and bond with babies while in our wombs just astonishes me. Anyways let me get off my soap box here... Happy Mother's Day to you all out there! I'll be posting more often soon...Hang in there!

Prayer Warrior, My Dear Friend

This lady is to be honored, a great prayer warrior and a true friend in my life.  Sandy Friend a lady that I personally know walked and talked with the Lord daily, I must say she had cloud or favor with Him. I will only scratch the surface with what I am going to share with you about her. Our friendship came about when I had first started attending Faith Temple (now Valley Pentecostal Church) hardly knew anyone so she invited me to her home with her family for Thanksgiving. I accepted her invite which till this day I am so glad I did, something about her spirit attracted me to her. She shared her yearbooks from when she attended CLC Bible College in Stockton, California, and OH MY did we share a laugh with the hairdo’s and dressing from back then…I am so glad we don’t have to wear our hair like that and our skirts lengths today would be looked as Quakers back then (LOL). Approaching the Throne Boldly

Just got back from a conference and was reading an Elders book he had just published and I was inspired to write the next paragraphs... In 2007 I discovered a lump the size of a quarter that at times ached so doctors wanted to cut, aspirate and whatever else they thought was needed,  I told them NO you will not touch me. As christians when faced with hard decisions I believe we have the authority to approach God throne boldly and ask for certain things in our lifes. I was desperate so I did that I inquired of the Lord and told the Lord if you don't heal me I am leaving this world but Lord I am not ready to leave this world. I have two sons that still need to be raised and I don't want their father or my family to raise them. I am desperate Lord heal me or take me quickly. A year later I returned for my yearly test, and the technician stopped in the middle of the procedure and told me he had to go get a doctor...at that precise moment I called out to God and told Him yo...

Door knocking

This past week I door knocked just about everyday straight from work for our Easter drama. Wow it had been awhile since I knocked, it brought back a memory with my younger son Jacob. I am not the type of parent to just let my children just go on their own to bus outreach or other activities especially at a very young age and if it involves the world. So no matter how tired I was, how much homework I had, housework I went with them. So close to 3 1/2 years I doorknocked with my sons every Saturday in the extreme heat of Arizona or our nice winters. We were at an apartment complex when we came upon a door and I was speaking to a hispanic lady while my son was standing next to me just observing everything around the front door and what he could see into the apartment through the front door. He had a funny expression on his face so I told him, "come on Papas we have to move on." Later at home he ask Mom did you see those toys at the entrance they were filthy and inside her hous...

Apostolic Hair

Recently in class we studied about our Apostolic uncut hair as we all know its a ladies glory...we have power with it. Its also signfies submission to God the head of our homes underneath that is our husbands/fathers depending on where you are in life. But I was listening to Elder Dallas Medford preaching one of our campmeetings and its also our worship...He said ladies when your hair is so long and you have to grab it in the middle to brush the bottom part of it thats WORSHIP! I had never seen it like that but it impacted me. Hair, Power, Submission, Worship! Amazing Will add scripture to this article it was just a quick thought that came to mind...

Taking a long break again...

Friends, Family and All I will probably neglect my blog again for a few months...starting next week we have a drama that is much work, week after a quincenera for a very special young lady in our Spanish service will be helping with setup and decor, weekend after that a wedding in Houston, Texas for one of my many adopted sons in the church, Zach. Can't believe my son JD best friend is getting married, Jr. Youth Camp and a spanish conference in July in Tulsa, Oklahoma...among all the other things I am involved with church...I Love It I wouldn't trade it for nothing in this world. So hang in there...till then the Lord bless you all.

The U.S. Vet

There is a U.S. vet man by the name Leroy that when I'm deep in prayer I envision this man walking through the doors of our sanctuary...a man that was baptized in Jesus Name and full of the Holy Ghost in Stockton, California. Our meeting was orchestrated by the Lord in a V.A. hospital in Phoenix. I was there to thank several vets on a Veterans day but I made my way to a corner while they finished their bingo game. I began to talk to this black man, asked him where he was from he answered Stockton, CA. I asked if he had ever been to CLC (everyone that lived in that town had experienced CLC somehow) and he said, Yes I was baptized there and was carried out drunk in the Holy Ghost service after service...He talked about his nites being carried out so lost in the Holy Ghost for the next hour or so I just listened. I told him that is amazing...he asked me your Pentecostal aren't you, I smiled and told him from my head to my toes...he replied I can tell. He told me how he pulled away...

Is the Bible the Inspired Word of God?

Funny Dream...

A funny dream I had…try not to laugh to hard…I was walking through my room to my bathroom when I suddenly heard a baby’s cry on my bed I looked but I said to myself,   Surely Not! I kept walking but then I heard another baby’s cry, every time I ignored the cries there was yet another baby on my bed. I don’t know if the dream ended or what but I totally put the dream in the back of my mind. Three to four days later I was at my desk at work, I was talking to God; I could feel him like he was sitting so close to me such sweet peace. So I asked him about my dream I told him surely Lord that can’t be live babies that I’m going to have cause I’m up in age (he replied instantly, remember Sarah). Yes Lord but I am a single lady, Sarah had a husband (can’t describe it but I heard the Lords laughter) what would people say Lord, just doesn’t seem possible (I am the impossible, still I heard his laughter). Sister Freemans' Listen and Obey Article

The below article was written by Sister Nona Freeman (whom has passed to be with the Lord) from a Reflections magazine that I didn't know much about but it’s put together by UPCI ladies. The article is very good, shows how Sister Freeman was very in tune with the Lord through prayer. I never got to see or meet her but I have listened too many of her CDs, this Elder was very prayerful and she STRESSED that we should read the Word without ceasing. Her simplicity in her faith is what I really believe God worked through. We often stop to ponder, think, overthink, analyze, evaluate, study, examine when and what the Lord speaks to us, I know I am guilty. I have at times just listened and obeyed, it amazes me what the outcome is. In our own human understanding we try to make sense of it but Gods thoughts and ways are so beyond us...just do as He is asking. Conviction, Stepping out in Faith

Thirteen years ago I got a strong conviction as I worked in a job that required I wear pants so I took a huge leap of faith trusting God with everything in me. I gave my 30 day notice with no job lined up; my coworkers were telling me you’re crazy you’re going to lose your house and car. Because the state could not accommodate my religious belief I filed for unemployment despite the fact that I had quit my employment. The State fought me on it and we had to go before an unemployment Judge to hear our case. The Judge had never heard of a religious conviction so I explained it to him. The Bible gives specific details/instruction about our attire as women, we are to obey it because it’s a serious matter to God, I believe the Word to be true and I hold to its commands. My kids 17 + years later

 Here's my kids...as I call them! Hard to believe that 17 years ago Sal was 8 yrs. old and Jacob was only 3 yrs. old. I've gained a beautiful daughter Hannah which is a compliment and blessing to our family! Still praying for my blonde grandbabies...maybe just maybe! Love you All and always in my Prayers!!! Our New Sanctuary

 Recent this week  First day walls went up, just the nite before Missionary Lambeth preached and forewarned us the obstacles that lie ahead. We so desperately need a new building...to get a good place in church you have to arrive 2 hours ahead of service...not that I want to walk in when service is started. No alter room for alter calls so a lot more space will be nice but above all of our comforts we need room for more souls, souls, souls. The dreams he has given some of us (including me ;-)) they will be coming in from all different walks of life... Lord send us blessings abundantly to pay off this building as we are building with no debt hanging over us. Spoil the Egyptians!!!

Sorry been so busy with church and all... but will post soon...   Seen this pic and I was awed by it, God holds our lives in his hands (I know they are bigger hands than this) but it shakes my simple understanding of Gods AWESOMENESS and how great He is, His kindness and loving mercies He shows us on this earth!!!
