Door knocking
This past week I door knocked just about everyday straight from work for our Easter drama. Wow it had been awhile since I knocked, it brought back a memory with my younger son Jacob.
I am not the type of parent to just let my children just go on their own to bus outreach or other activities especially at a very young age and if it involves the world. So no matter how tired I was, how much homework I had, housework I went with them. So close to 3 1/2 years I doorknocked with my sons every Saturday in the extreme heat of Arizona or our nice winters.
We were at an apartment complex when we came upon a door and I was speaking to a hispanic lady while my son was standing next to me just observing everything around the front door and what he could see into the apartment through the front door. He had a funny expression on his face so I told him, "come on Papas we have to move on." Later at home he ask Mom did you see those toys at the entrance they were filthy and inside her house there was clothes and trash everywhere. Yes Papas some people live in those conditions because they don't know any different, that could've been us but God reached us and now there is order, cleanliness and we see the importance of it. Yes Mom I couldn't play with those toys they were so dirty and thank you for our clean house.
I was thankful for that day my son saw something that after living for God for several years we take for granted...Gods order, purity, cleanliness and peace in our lives and homes. This week I seen a growing gross sin as I went door to door inviting people to church...sin is getting bolder. It shook me out of my comfort level and my prayers for the lost. God help us!

Love that flower. Miss you all very much. God is great. I use to do door knocking with Juan many years back and its a very humbling experience just to realize that God saved me and blessed me with soooo much.
