Church History

I know it's been a while...really a long while 😯 busy reading lots of Church history and some world history and it seems like it's all coming together. Trying not to get overwhelmed, it's so interesting. I scratch my head and wonder how I'm going to make it all come together in my mind. I'm talking about Church history from the apostles death to Azusa days, most people when they hear the beginning of Church history they automatically go to Azusa street but if we dig further back it's even more interesting. There's so much to post, I shall return and post pieces and bits of what I discovered... Here’s an interesting piece I found the Christians(meaning All believers at that time)  of the first century there symbol to identify was an anchor, not the cross because the cross was considered a symbol of shame. Which is why Jesus was hung on it, to shame Him. The anchor was also on Jewish coinage but eventually phased out.

Christmas Poem

Sister Nona Freeman’s CHRISTmas Message 2009 ‘JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON” If you look for me at CHRISTmas, You won’t need a special star- I’m no longer just in Bethlehem, I’m right there where you are. You may not be aware of ‘Me’, Amid the celebrations, You’ll have to look beyond the stores, And all the decorations. But if you take a moment, From your list of things to do, And listen to your heart, You’ll find, I’m waiting there for you. You’re the one I want to be with, You’re the reason that I came, And you’ll find me in the stillness, As I’m whispering your name. Love, Jesus  The Gift, He gave us so many Christmas’s ago is still vibrant and beautiful. May the Christ child become more of a reality in your life and may you celebrate His birth everyday.

Music

Music can be relaxing, soothing, make you cry, happy and a great ministry to many. Wanted to share my music with you all out there, I have a Spotify account if you search for my account you can listen with hardly no commercials/interruptions, enjoy great Apostolic music. My favorite is Sister Allard, if I could sing I'd like to sing like her. Had the privilige to meet her at our Jr. Camp and later at our church the following weekend. My account name is all lowercase, no spaces...laughterinsideme . Hope you enjoy it and holler if you like it.😎

Fear...in the book of Acts

Recently in the book of Acts the word fear keeps standing out to me...when the Disciples preached the gospel to people a fear would come over the people,  many repented and converted. Several mornings I have gone to the sanctuary and weeping I tell God there is no fear in the land towards You. Then I thought the fear that is out there is evil fear from abuse, random shootings in various places, crime and other things but yet this fear seems to be prevalent in the land. Another evil twist is the slogan very common out there "no fear" which in my opinion promotes further no fear... just my thoughts....

Happy Mommas Day!

Thank God he chose my role as a Mother...the most caring humans on the earth. Nothing like a Mommas love! Despite all the weakness we have as women God chose us to love and nurture babies. Lately reading and studying how we (as woman) inoculate and bond with babies while in our wombs just astonishes me. Anyways let me get off my soap box here... Happy Mother's Day to you all out there! I'll be posting more often soon...Hang in there!

Prayer Warrior, My Dear Friend

This lady is to be honored, a great prayer warrior and a true friend in my life.  Sandy Friend a lady that I personally know walked and talked with the Lord daily, I must say she had cloud or favor with Him. I will only scratch the surface with what I am going to share with you about her. Our friendship came about when I had first started attending Faith Temple (now Valley Pentecostal Church) hardly knew anyone so she invited me to her home with her family for Thanksgiving. I accepted her invite which till this day I am so glad I did, something about her spirit attracted me to her. She shared her yearbooks from when she attended CLC Bible College in Stockton, California, and OH MY did we share a laugh with the hairdo’s and dressing from back then…I am so glad we don’t have to wear our hair like that and our skirts lengths today would be looked as Quakers back then (LOL). We had a unique friendship it was not a clingy friendship whenever we got together we just pick up fr...

Approaching the Throne Boldly

Just got back from a conference and was reading an Elders book he had just published and I was inspired to write the next paragraphs... In 2007 I discovered a lump the size of a quarter that at times ached so doctors wanted to cut, aspirate and whatever else they thought was needed,  I told them NO you will not touch me. As christians when faced with hard decisions I believe we have the authority to approach God throne boldly and ask for certain things in our lifes. I was desperate so I did that I inquired of the Lord and told the Lord if you don't heal me I am leaving this world but Lord I am not ready to leave this world. I have two sons that still need to be raised and I don't want their father or my family to raise them. I am desperate Lord heal me or take me quickly. A year later I returned for my yearly test, and the technician stopped in the middle of the procedure and told me he had to go get a doctor...at that precise moment I called out to God and told Him yo...
