Door knocking

This past week I door knocked just about everyday straight from work for our Easter drama. Wow it had been awhile since I knocked, it brought back a memory with my younger son Jacob. I am not the type of parent to just let my children just go on their own to bus outreach or other activities especially at a very young age and if it involves the world. So no matter how tired I was, how much homework I had, housework I went with them. So close to 3 1/2 years I doorknocked with my sons every Saturday in the extreme heat of Arizona or our nice winters. We were at an apartment complex when we came upon a door and I was speaking to a hispanic lady while my son was standing next to me just observing everything around the front door and what he could see into the apartment through the front door. He had a funny expression on his face so I told him, "come on Papas we have to move on." Later at home he ask Mom did you see those toys at the entrance they were filthy and inside her hous...

Apostolic Hair

Recently in class we studied about our Apostolic uncut hair as we all know its a ladies glory...we have power with it. Its also signfies submission to God the head of our homes underneath that is our husbands/fathers depending on where you are in life. But I was listening to Elder Dallas Medford preaching one of our campmeetings and its also our worship...He said ladies when your hair is so long and you have to grab it in the middle to brush the bottom part of it thats WORSHIP! I had never seen it like that but it impacted me. Hair, Power, Submission, Worship! Amazing Will add scripture to this article it was just a quick thought that came to mind...

Taking a long break again...

Friends, Family and All I will probably neglect my blog again for a few months...starting next week we have a drama that is much work, week after a quincenera for a very special young lady in our Spanish service will be helping with setup and decor, weekend after that a wedding in Houston, Texas for one of my many adopted sons in the church, Zach. Can't believe my son JD best friend is getting married, Jr. Youth Camp and a spanish conference in July in Tulsa, Oklahoma...among all the other things I am involved with church...I Love It I wouldn't trade it for nothing in this world. So hang in there...till then the Lord bless you all.

The U.S. Vet

There is a U.S. vet man by the name Leroy that when I'm deep in prayer I envision this man walking through the doors of our sanctuary...a man that was baptized in Jesus Name and full of the Holy Ghost in Stockton, California. Our meeting was orchestrated by the Lord in a V.A. hospital in Phoenix. I was there to thank several vets on a Veterans day but I made my way to a corner while they finished their bingo game. I began to talk to this black man, asked him where he was from he answered Stockton, CA. I asked if he had ever been to CLC (everyone that lived in that town had experienced CLC somehow) and he said, Yes I was baptized there and was carried out drunk in the Holy Ghost service after service...He talked about his nites being carried out so lost in the Holy Ghost for the next hour or so I just listened. I told him that is amazing...he asked me your Pentecostal aren't you, I smiled and told him from my head to my toes...he replied I can tell. He told me how he pulled away...

Is the Bible the Inspired Word of God?

This was shared with us on ICAT(Institute of Conservative Apostolic Theology), I like to read it often. The bible has intrigued me since I was a child...it has great mysteries!!!  Timothy 3:16 (KJV)   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: During a question and answer session at a recent speaking engagement, a university student asked me, “Why do you believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God?”  Now this is a very interesting question; and probably one of the most important questions any Christian could ask themselves.  What is so special, so unique about the Bible that Christians believe it is literally the inspired word of God? In answering this student’s question, I encouraged him to consider the following facts about the Bible: First, the Bible is not just one single book.  This is a more common misconception than many people realize, e...

Funny Dream...

A funny dream I had…try not to laugh to hard…I was walking through my room to my bathroom when I suddenly heard a baby’s cry on my bed I looked but I said to myself,   Surely Not! I kept walking but then I heard another baby’s cry, every time I ignored the cries there was yet another baby on my bed. I don’t know if the dream ended or what but I totally put the dream in the back of my mind. Three to four days later I was at my desk at work, I was talking to God; I could feel him like he was sitting so close to me such sweet peace. So I asked him about my dream I told him surely Lord that can’t be live babies that I’m going to have cause I’m up in age (he replied instantly, remember Sarah). Yes Lord but I am a single lady, Sarah had a husband (can’t describe it but I heard the Lords laughter) what would people say Lord, just doesn’t seem possible (I am the impossible, still I heard his laughter). I myself began to laugh, this is crazy Lord. But then in a happy but serious voic...

Another Year is Dawning

Another year is dawning, dear Master, let it be, In working or in waiting, another year with Thee! Another year of leaning upon Thy loving breast, Of even deeper trusting, of quiet, happy rest. Another year of mercies, of faithfulness and grace; Another year of gladness, in the shining of Thy face. Another year of progress, another year of praise; Another year of proving thy presence “all the days.” Another year of service, of witness to Thy love; Another year of training for holier work above. Another year is dawning, dear Master, let it be, On earth, or else in heaven another year for Thee! -Author Unknown-
