Sister Freemans' Listen and Obey Article

The below article was written by Sister Nona Freeman (whom has passed to be with the Lord) from a Reflections magazine that I didn't know much about but it’s put together by UPCI ladies. The article is very good, shows how Sister Freeman was very in tune with the Lord through prayer. I never got to see or meet her but I have listened too many of her CDs, this Elder was very prayerful and she STRESSED that we should read the Word without ceasing. Her simplicity in her faith is what I really believe God worked through. We often stop to ponder, think, overthink, analyze, evaluate, study, examine when and what the Lord speaks to us, I know I am guilty. I have at times just listened and obeyed, it amazes me what the outcome is. In our own human understanding we try to make sense of it but Gods thoughts and ways are so beyond us...just do as He is asking. Isaiah 55:8     “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”...

Conviction, Stepping out in Faith

Thirteen years ago I got a strong conviction as I worked in a job that required I wear pants so I took a huge leap of faith trusting God with everything in me. I gave my 30 day notice with no job lined up; my coworkers were telling me you’re crazy you’re going to lose your house and car. Because the state could not accommodate my religious belief I filed for unemployment despite the fact that I had quit my employment. The State fought me on it and we had to go before an unemployment Judge to hear our case. The Judge had never heard of a religious conviction so I explained it to him. The Bible gives specific details/instruction about our attire as women, we are to obey it because it’s a serious matter to God, I believe the Word to be true and I hold to its commands. I quoted, Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God. My kids 17 + years later

 Here's my kids...as I call them! Hard to believe that 17 years ago Sal was 8 yrs. old and Jacob was only 3 yrs. old. I've gained a beautiful daughter Hannah which is a compliment and blessing to our family! Still praying for my blonde grandbabies...maybe just maybe! Love you All and always in my Prayers!!! Guys picking on Hannah...

Our New Sanctuary

 Recent this week  First day walls went up, just the nite before Missionary Lambeth preached and forewarned us the obstacles that lie ahead. We so desperately need a new building...to get a good place in church you have to arrive 2 hours ahead of service...not that I want to walk in when service is started. No alter room for alter calls so a lot more space will be nice but above all of our comforts we need room for more souls, souls, souls. The dreams he has given some of us (including me ;-)) they will be coming in from all different walks of life... Lord send us blessings abundantly to pay off this building as we are building with no debt hanging over us. Spoil the Egyptians!!!
